Check out times, limits, and fines
Limits and rules below apply to patrons in good standing. Further limits may be imposed if patrons have fines, overdue items, or have previously and repeatedly abused library rules.

Books:
- Circulate for 4 weeks at a time, with up to 2 renewals.
- Limit of 30 at one time under one registration. Limit may be increased.
- Adults may check out any book on the shelves. Children may be restricted by parent/guardian request, but the library will not restrict titles unless specifically requested.
CDs and Playaways:
- Circulate for 2 weeks at a time, with 1 renewal.
- Limit of 3 at one time per patron.
- Adults may check out any CD on the shelves. Children may be restricted by parent/guardian request, but the library will not restrict titles unless specifically requested.
DVDs:
- Circulate for 1 week at a time, with a 3 day renewal.
- Limit of 3 per patron checked out at a time.
- Adults may check out any DVD or Video Cassette on the shelves. Children under 16 may not check out DVDs or Video Cassettes for themselves.
Video Games:
- Circulate for 2 weeks at a time, with 1 renewal.
- Limit of 2 at one time per patron.
- Fee of $10 for each instruction booklet lost. (Not all games have instruction booklets to begin with.)
- Adults may check out any video game on the shelf. Children may be restricted by parent/guardian request, but the library will not restrict titles unless specifically requested.
Magazines:
- Adult magazines circulate for 3 days, including the day of checkout and due date, with no renewals.
- Youth magazines circulate for 1 week, with no renewals.
- Limit of current issue plus three back issues of any one title.
- Adults may check out any magazine on the shelves. Children may be restricted by parent/guardian request, but the library will not restrict titles unless specifically requested.
Internet Hotspots:
- Circulate for 1 week, no renewals.
- Limit of 1 per family at one time.
- Adults only may check out hotspots. You must have a library card in good standing for at least 3 months to check out a hotspot.
- Hotspots must not be returned in book or media drop on the corner of the building.

Projector, Screen, In-House Laptops, Study Room, Microfilm Reader
- The projector, screen, and a laptop may be checked out for hourly use in the Schafer Room by adults in good standing at the library.
- Organizations and their representatives may check out the projector, screen, and a laptop for use off site for up to a week with prior permission from the director and a representative's valid personal library account.
- In-House laptops may be checked out for hourly use as needed for test proctoring or use in the study, Schafer, or genealogy room by adults with a valid library card.
- The microfilm reader may be checked out for hourly use by adults with a valid library card. A librarian will assist with loading and unloading the microfilm. Copies made are $0.25 each.
