E-Books and Digital Audiobooks 

​The Sunflower Consortium provides audiobook, e-book, music, and video access to the library card holders for many libraries in Kansas. 

You will need:
  1. A library card and activated online account in good standing. (See here for more information on activating your account online.)
  2. Your own device on which to put downloaded files. (A complete compatible list can be found here.) OR
  3. The Libby App on your own device to browse and access content.

Hoopla provides ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music, TV, and comic books to patrons with no waiting period. You will need:
  1. ​A Port Library card and activated online account in good standing.
  2. The hoopla app downloaded on your own device.
You will register your library card on the Hoopla website, but create your own login to use from there. Checkouts are limited to 4 items per patron per month at this time.

State Library of Kansas Apps

To access free e-books and audiobooks through the State Library of Kansas patrons need to:
  • Be a resident of Kansas,
  • Come to a local library to apply for a Kansas Library eCard (different from your local library card), and
  • Log on from the State Library of Kansas website (see below).
